Mr. Tompson has over 35 years’ experience in automotive component manufacturing, development, engineering and sales.  He has worked extensively in North America, Europe and Asia through successive key executive management positions encompassing strategy development, product cost down initiatives, material science and global sales & marketing.

Mr. Tompson’s career experience includes Senior Vice President of Collins and Aikman, a $4 Bn Tier I automotive supplier, where he established a global development team of 300 people in 10 countries, and developed centers of excellence within the plants to build robustness into new development and support plant initiatives with cost down and problem solving. He also established “state of the art” NVH CAE/Test technical centers for interior system acoustic product development in Germany & North America, and developed a new family of products  - getting 8 to market in 2 years - and achieving global cost downs of $15 Mn. 

Mr. Tompson holds a Higher National Certificate in Polymer Chemistry, with distinction from Hatfield University in England, and a degree in Polymer Engineering from South Bank University in London.
