Mr. McKenzie has successfully led management teams, corporate strategies, day to day execution and customer relationship management around the world, managing multicultural, economic, operational performance and legal diversity issues on four continents.  He is adept at identifying problems and turning under-performing facilities into profit making centers through planning and implementing strategies and best practices in manufacturing, and has a proven track record in start-ups, merger/acquisition integration, turnarounds and relocating operations to low cost countries.  

 

Mr. McKenzie’s past positions have included Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of  a Tier One supplier to Automotive, Heavy Truck, and Consumer Industrial Products (“CIP”)  industries, with  $978M annual sales, 6,000 employees, 24 manufacturing facilities, both union and non-union manufacturing exterior components and assemblies including  sheet molding composites, stamped/chrome plated steel, lighting components, interior assemblies as well as assembly, paint, and surface sealant/coating operations.  He also served as President of the Exterior Composites Group, Heavy Truck and Automotive Composite Operations, with $319 million sales, 2,246 employees and plants in Illinois (1 – United Automotive Workers), Indiana (5 non-union), Ohio (1 - United Steel Workers), Michigan, North Carolina (non-union) and Mexico (1 CTM) where he accomplished a turnaround of EBITDA from $1.6 million on $231 million sales to $34.7 million on $319 million sales.

 

Mr. McKenzie holds an Associate of Arts degree from the University of Southwest Texas, and an MBA from Knightsbridge University in London. He is a Director of the Free Trade Alliance, a past Director of the American Composites Manufacturer Association, and past Chairman of the Automotive Composites Alliance.  He is fluent in German and Spanish.
