Mr. Clarkson has over 25 years as a senior finance executive driving global organic and M&A growth at US and foreign technology manufacturing and service organizations.  He was finance lead on over forty domestic and international M&A, debt and capital raise transactions with an aggregate value of over $13 billion. His specific M&A experience ranges from large company acquisitions to asset purchases and he participated in acquisition integrations and structured M&A transactions aggregating over $7 billion. 

 

Mr. Clarkson’s industry experience includes wireless audio, data, and video communications, aerospace & defense, software, semiconductor, hardware, satellite, parallel optics, automotive electronics and oil/mining tools.   His career experience includes advising technology-driven US and foreign early stage and middle market companies, senior finance and operating positions at Hughes Electronics, Apple and Ashton-Tate,  and account and transaction management positions at Citicorp and Bank of America.

 

Mr. Clarkson holds a Bachelor of Arts from Denison University and an MBA in Finance from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business. He is currently leading a pro bono strategic project for a national nonprofit and coaches for the National Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  He served as the Community Services Chair for the Columbia Club of DC for 10 years and volunteered at Food & Friends, a DC food bank for people living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-challenging illnesses.
